Copyright Essay 10/24/11
Copyright is the legal right which gives the originator(author, composer, artist...) the exclusive right or ownership and license to: print, publish, perform, distribute, copy, sell, and produce their original work for their lifetime and for a period of 70 years after his/her death. You can use information from online sources, as long as you don't claim it as your own. If something is not copyrighted you can use it as your own, but that would be considered as a public domain. Almost everything on the web is copyrighted.
There is no special permission given to anyone because copyright is a rule for all. If a image per say is copyighted and it gives credit to the original author, you may use it as much as you like. Plagiarism is a form of cheating and/or stealing, because if you take an item that does not belong to you, and you claim it as yours you would be prosercuted for that action.
A public domain is work that is not copyrighted and may be used without permission. Copyright infrigment is when a copyrighted work gets reproduced or duplicated. Royalty is the right to use copyrighted material without having to pay royalties for each use.
Fairuse allows you to use a limited amount of copyrighted material for your educational use. In order for you to take information from another source you must create a works cited page stating where you got your information from and crediting the author.
Through this entire projectI learned everything about copyright including the do's and the don'ts on plagirism. To complete this project, I had to take a screenshot of the way back time machine, I then had to type a reflection on what copyright is and how to not break the rules of copyright. I also created a works cited page and pasted it into my weebly account, the very last thing I did to complete thing 4 project was I created a reflection on thing 4.

When I were in the 5th grade I were had an assignment to complete, which was to do a research on our favorite world leader. At that time while doing the research I copied and pasted all of the information that I recieved on the internet about that person. Luckily now, I know about copyright and things of that nature.
